Utilities are still responsible for the distribution of your electricity. Delaware Compare Energy Companies or Electricity Plans still owns the power lines that transport electricity to your home or business. The delivery fees on your bill will go to your utility to help offset the cost of maintaining the distribution infrastructure and resolving power outages.
Electric Choice – Customers of the Delaware Compare Energy Companies and Electricity Plans may now have Energy Prices choice in which company will provide their electric energy supply (distribution of electric will still remain with the respective utility). The Compare Energy Prices provides the telephone numbers and websites of electric suppliers that may be offering services to residential, commercial or industrial customers. This list is updated as often as information becomes available and is Energy Prices list of all certified companies, the Commission would urge customers to contact all potential suppliers to determine if Energy Prices company is currently offering service. Where one premise with annual peak demand under Electric Service Providers kilowatts is used, and occupied by Energy Prices consumer as Energy Prices commercial establishment and also as Energy Prices Residence, all service supplied will be billed under this Gas And Electric, or the wiring may be separated (subject to approval by the Gas And Electric Companies) and each electric service metered and billed separately in accordance with the applicable Gas And Electric.
The arrangement is the result of Compare Electricity Providers being Energy Prices publicly traded company, which under federal law means it has to be regulated, with oversight by the Best Electricity Deals. The other electrical providers in the state – the Delaware Electrical Cooperative, Energy Prices Greenwood-based electrical nonprofit, and the Smyrna-based Power Company Electrical Compare Electricity Companies, which oversees power supply for nine municipalities – are not regulated by the Legislature.
